Oh, Another Wish List Item
In addition to the Purete Ideale Serum, another item I can’t put on Amazon is a room at Hotel Zaza on Feb 15. I’d really like an extra night at Hotel ZaZa on our wedding weekend. Friday night, the night before the wedding, the night of the rehearsal dinner. Wouldn’t Danny just have to clear out by 11 the next day, when the hairdresser comes? We could just have one small room Fri night and then move to the suite in the morning and that’s when Danny has to go away. I would like to start the day of our wedding together with Danny in quiet repose, and I think it would feel more exciting if we weren’t in our own apartment. And I know the “You can’t see the bride before the wedding!” rule, and that only applies once she’s in her gown.

I Have a Wedding Planner
And his name is Sammy. He’s my cousin and he is in the 5th grade.
So, we ordered my gown and veil today! BIG STEP!
I can’t give away to many details because I want Danny to be breathtaken. Email me to request a link to the image (of the model in it, not me, though my mom might have gotten some good shots of it today.)
My veil is fingertip length, which is very long, but very classical. The gown itself is traditional, but sexy. I love how I feel in it. It knew it was The One. As soon as I drove away from the salon I had a moment of panic, but then I picture a particular view of myself in the mirror, turned, with the gown twisted around me grandly, and I am looking over my shoulder, and I love it. It is the image I will dream about when I picture my gown.
Now, since my Aunt Diane and Uncle Sam are generously buying my gown and veil, Diane was with me today, and she brought Sammy.
I have never seen the boy get more involved in something than he was in this whole wedding gown thing. First, he asked the clerk where the junior birdesmaid’s dresses were so he could look at possibilities for Maddie. Then he picked out several pairs of shoes for me. Then he started asking detailed questions about what he would be wearing. THEN he brought over some pieces of jewelry he thought I should consider. This is an 11 year old boy having the time of his life in a bridal salon.
I had so much fun with him today. I am taking him on all my wedding planning errands. Oh, and tonight he called to go over his thoughts about his tuxedo, and did I think he should buy one or just rent? Also, he would like a bow tie. He went to the Al’s Formalwear website and selected (he read this to me) a six button wing collar shirt, an After Six one button tuxedo jacket, a silk vest, and, of course, the bow tie. I hope his enthusiasm lasts through the wedding because it helps me feel less stress, seeing his joy. Who would have known? What a kid. He’s awesome.

Owie
I did my hour on the treadmill tonight and DURING the hour I began to feel pain up and down my back and in my shoulders. But I sucked it up and finished it out. Now I am miiiiserable. My muscles up and down my spine are freaking out at me, Maybe it was too soon after the spinal inflammation to try this. I am going to call my doctor first thing tomorrow because I am in paaaaain. Crap crap. All I did was walk at a 2 mph pace while I watched an episode of CSI! Oh, it hurts. DAMN THIS ARTHRITIS! I will NOT let this defeat me in my goal to lose weight and get fit. Dammit dammit dammit.

Wedding Planning
The wedding planning has begun. My mom and I spent the evening talking about the wedding. I just don’t know what I want! I looked at bridesmaids dresses for two minutes and got bored. I wish it all just “happened”.
Our wedding is going to be very simple. For example, a reception at a Katy-area country club with a band and “heavy hors d’oeurves” for 250 people is costing my mom’s friend $35,000. We have less than a third of that. I don’t know what sort of wedding to dream of because I don’t want to be dissapointed. All that really matters is that I am getting married. But I am a girly girl and I have always dreamed of being a princess on my wedding day.
I want this:

But there are two obstacles to that: money and the Pope.
So, what about a destination wedding? Breckenridge, Colorado is quite beautiful and is special to my family. Just a thought.
But then there’s always the fact that many people won’t be able to come and that’s no fun. Sigh and hmm.
I kinda wanna elope.
